Invites applications for engagement of Apprentices in various  under the Apprentices Act, 1961 and Apprenticeship Rules 1962 in various designated trades of Electrical Department & Mech. Department in Vadodara Division of Western Railway.

Application Fee: A postal Order/Demand Draft (DD) of ₹ 100/- payable to Sr.DFM/ Vadodara as processing fee which is not refundable is to be enclosed with the application form. Remittance of fee in any other form will not be accepted. No fee is required to be paid by SC/ST/PH/Women candidates.

Physical Standard: Candidates selected will be required to pass the prescribed medical examination as per rules in force before induction into the training course. A person shall be eligible for being trained under the apprentices Act, 1961 and apprenticeships Rules-1992 as amended from time to time, if he or she satisfies the minimum standards of physical fitness as prescribed in the afore said Act and Rules and the standards prescribed for imparting training to the relevant trades which will be certified by a Railway Doctor.

Training & Stipend: Training will be arranged in accordance with the standards and syllabus prescribed by the Central apprenticeship Council. The selected candidates will be paid stipend during apprenticeship at the prescribed rates as per extant instructions.

Selection Process: Selection of the eligible candidates for imparting training under the Apprentice Act, 1961 will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage marks obtained by the candidates in both matriculation (With minimum 50% (aggregate) marks and ITI examination giving equal weight age to both. There will be no written test or viva. The probable date of display of the list of selected candidates is 23.12.2017 and tentative date of commence of training is 23.01.2018.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates apply in the prescribed application format.  The duly filled application along with photo-copies of documents addressed to Divisional Railway Manager (E)-BRC, Estt.-Electrical Section, Second floor, Personal Department, Pratapnagar, Vadodara- 390004. Application may be dropped in the box kept on following address or may be sent by register-AD also. The last date for submission of application is 23/11/2017 at 17.00 hours.
