CSIR issued examination notification for National Eligibility Test (NET) – Joint CSIR-UGC Test for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Eligibility for Lectureship (LS)Tentatively on 22nd June 2014.
- JRF (NET) – Age-Maximum 28 Years as on 01/01/2014. (Age Relaxation – 5 Years for SC/ST/OBC, PWD and Female Candidates)
- LS (NET) – No Upper Age Limit
Date & Scheme of the Test: The Single paper MCQ based test will be held tentatively on 22/06/2014 (Sunday).
Time -> 9:00 AM-12:00 Noon (Morning Session); 2:00 pM-6:00 PM (Afternoon Session); Time Duration – 3 Hours.
Exam Subjects -> Life Sciences, Earth, Atmosphertic, Ocean and Planetary Sciences, Mathematical Sciences, Chemical Sciences, Physical Sciences, Enigneering Sciences – 200 Marks.
Examination Centres: The Test will be held at 26 Centres spread all over India. Centres such as Bangalore, Bhavnagar, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Cochin, Delhi, Guntur, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Imphal, Jammu, Jamshedpur, Karaikudi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Nagpur, Pilani, Pune, Raipur, Roorkee, Sringar, Thiruvananthapuram, Udaipur and Varanasi.
Examination Fee: Rs.400/- for General, Rs.200/- for OBC; Rs.100/- for SC/ST/Physically Handicapped (PH) or Visually Handicapped (VH).
How To Apply: Interested and Eligible candidates may apply online through CSIR, HRDG website on or before 04/03/2014. Take Printout of Online completed application, paste his/her recent black and white photograph, put his/her signature at the required space, attach requisite certificates and send along with CSIR marked copy of fee deposited Bank of Challan in an envelope super scribed with Subject Code, Centre Code and Medium Code to "Senior Controller of Examination, Human Resource Development Group, Examination Unit, CSIR Complex, Library Avenue, Puse, New Delhi-110012" on or before 08/03/2014 (For remote area candidates – 14/03/2014).
