Invites Online applications for recruitment of Laboratory Assistant (post code – LI to L18) for filling up 68 Vacancies on contractual basis in the Govt. Polytechnics / Engineering Schools in the State under Directorate of Technical Education and Training (D.T.E.T), Odisha. 

  • Laboratory Assistant – 68 (Female – 23) Posts, Age: 18 to 32 Years as on 01/01/2016. Age Relaxation – 05 Years for SEBC, SC, ST &Women candidates; 10 years for candidates belonging to PWD, Pay: ₹ 5200 /- + Grade Pay ₹ 2400/-

Examination Fee: ₹ 100/- for SEBC and UR Candidates. No fee for than SC/ST and Persons with Disability (PwD) Candidates. The fees can be deposited either through online or off-line mode using the Treasury Portal or by the conventional mode of deposit in the Treasury. No application for admission to examination shall be considered if the examination fee is not deposited through Treasury Challan showing payment in the Government Treasury.

Selection Process: A Common Objective Written Test. The Test shall be conducted by setting questions from the syllabus prepared from the subjects of 1st year common Diploma of State Council of Technical Education and Vocational Training, Odisha, Bhubaneswar. Subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Engineering Mechanics shall be considered. Total marks will be 240 having 60 questions (15 questions from each subject). There will be minus marking of 01 for each wrong answer. There is no provision for viva-voce test. Post wise merit list shall be prepared, basing on the performance in the written examination. The duration of the test shall be of two hours.
