Recruitment under Scout & Guide Quota for the year 2017-18 – CENTRALIZED NOTIFICATION NO. ECR/HRD/RECTT/SCOUT & GUIDE QUOTA/2017-18
Invites Applications from eligible Indian Nationals for recruitment post of Group C and D posts in Headquarter and divisions of E.C.Railway for Recruitment against Scout and Guide Quota of 2018-19.
- Group 'C' – 02 (One from Scouts and one from Guides) Posts, Pay: PB-2 (₹ 5200-20200) and Grade Pay ₹ 1900 as per 6th CPC [Basic Pay ₹ 19900], Office: Headquarter Office of East Central Railway
- Erstwhile Group 'D’ – 10 (02 posts in each division) (One from Scouts and one from Guides) Posts, Pay: PB-1 (₹ 5200-20200) and Grade Pay ₹ 1800 as per 6th CPC [Basic Pay ₹ 18000], Office: 5 Divisions of E.C.Railway i.e. Dhanbad, Danapur, Mughalsarai, Sonpur & Samastipur
Examination Fee: The examination fee to be paid through Indian Postal Order will be ₹ 500/- for General and OBC Candidates; ₹ 250/- for candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex- servicemen/ Persons with 40% or above Disabilities (PWDs), Women, Minorities and Economic Backward Classes [Refund of the same amount will be made to those candidate].
Selection Process:
- Written Test – 60 Marks
- Marks on certificates – 40 Marks
How To Apply: The prescribed application format should be neatly typed or handwritten either in Hindi or in English with one recent passport size photograph in full Scout / Guide uniform duly signed to be pasted on the application form.
Candidates should send the application to GENERAL MANAGER (PERSONNEL), RECRUITMENT SECTION, E.C.RAILWAY HEADQUARTER OFFICE, HAJIPUR, DISTT.- VAISHALI. BIHAR. PIN-844101 by ordinary post. The candidate may drop the application in the drop-box provided for the purpose in the Each Central Railway Headquarter Officer up to 18.00 Hrs. on or before the last date.
The Candidate may apply for Group ‘C’ posts (Grade Pay – ₹ 1900) and/or erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts (Grade Pay – ₹ 1800). Candidates are advised to send separate application for Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts. Application for Group ‘C’ and erstwhile Group ‘D’ posts in a single Application will be rejected for both categories.
The following enclosures should be attached with the application:-
(a) Two recent passport size photographs in full Scout/Guide uniform duly signed on the back of them, should be clipped alongwith the application form.
(b) Indian Postal Order of prescribed amount (in favour of ‘FA&CAO, East Central Railway’ payable at Hajipur).
(c) Necessary proof for claiming fee refund.
(d) Xerox copy of certificates attested by Gazetted Officer/Self Attested in support of age, Educational Qualification and participation certificate in Scout & Guide activities for their eligibility.
(e) Xerox copy of Caste Certificate attested by Gazetted Officer/Self Attested in case of SC/ST candidates. For OBC candidates, current non-creamy layer certificate (valid for Central Government Service) issued by the competent authority should be enclosed.
The closing date for receipt of applications is 04/09/2018. Closing Date for applicants of Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Mizoram, Nagaland, Tripura, Sikkim, J&K, Andman & Nikobar & Lakshdweep islands, Lahaul & Spiti District and Pangi sub-division of Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh and candidates residing abroad – 19/09/2018.
