Eligible Indian Citizens apply online for engagement as Act Apprentices against the 3553 vacancies for training in the designated Trades under Apprentice Act 1961 at various Divisions, Workshops within the jurisdiction of Western Railways for the year 2019 – 2020.
- Apprentices – 3553 Posts, Vacancy Trades: Fitter, Turner, Electrician, Welder, Mechanic, Machinist, Painter, Refrigerator & AC Mechanic, Electronics, Painter, Cable Jointer / Crane Operator, Lineman, Winder, Turner, Trimmer, Forger & Heat Treater, MMTM. Age Limit: Minimum 15 years and Maximum 24 years as on 6th February 2020. The Upper age limit is relaxable by 05 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 3 years in case of OBC candidates and 10 years for Physically Handicapped candidates.
Application Fee: A non-refundable fee of ₹ 100/-. There is no fee for SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates. The fee will have to be made through Online Payment Gateway.
Selection Process: Based on educational qualification marks – merit list. Selected candidates called For Document Verification (DV) will have to submit Medical Certificates. Selection will be based on the merit list which would be prepared taking the average of the percentage of marks obtained by the Applicants in both Matriculation [with minimum50% (aggregate) marks] and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
