- General Manager (Track) – 01 Post, Age Limit: Not exceeding 50 years as on date of notification i.e. 12/05/2021. Job Location: Chennai.
Qualification and Experience:
- Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized Institute / University.
- Should be in SAG grade with minimum of 23 years of experience in major Railroad Construction / Maintenance Projects / Metro and Railway Projects with hands on experience in track alignment and laying, welding of rail joints by mobile flash welding and placing of points and crossings.
- Experience in construction and maintenance of Trackwork’s, Bridges, Viaduct, Contract Management, Installation and Commissioning of turnouts and coordination with other departments like operation / signal / Rolling stock &OHE will be an added advantage.

The Government of Tamil Nadu made a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) for carrying out the Chennai Metro Rail Project. This SPV named as “Chennai Metro Rail Limited” was consolidated on 03.12.2007 under the Companies Act. It has now been changed over into a Joint Venture of Government of India and Government of Tamil Nadu with equivalent value holding.
