Age Limit and Pay Scale
The age limit for the IIT Patna Recruitment 2023 varies depending on the position. The age limits are as follows:

The selected candidates will receive competitive pay scales ranging from Level 1 to Level 12.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the various positions, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Deputy Registrar: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and a minimum of 9 years of experience.
- Superintending Engineer: Candidates must have a B.Tech./B.E. degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade.
- Deputy Librarian: Candidates must have a Master’s Degree in library science/information science/documentation with at least 55% marks or an equivalent grade.
- Technical Officer / Scientific Officer: Candidates must have a 3-year Diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline with 12 years of relevant experience, or a B.Tech./B.E. degree with a minimum of 55% marks and 6 years of relevant experience, or an M.Tech./M.E. degree with a minimum of 55% marks and 4 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. degree in a relevant discipline with 3 years of experience.
- Medical Officer: Candidates must have an M.B.B.S. degree with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent grade and relevant experience.
- Assistant Registrar: Candidates must have a Master’s degree or equivalent in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks and 6 years of relevant experience.
- Junior Engineer / Junior Technical Superintendent: Candidates must have a B.Tech./B.E. or equivalent degree with 1 year of experience, or a 3-year Diploma with 6 years of experience.
- Physical Training Instructor: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Physical Education/Sports Science or equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks and 1 year of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education with 3 years of relevant experience.
- Senior Library Information Assistant: Candidates must have a B. Lib. or B. Lib. Info. Sc. or equivalent degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in Library/Information Science with a minimum of 55% marks and relevant experience.
- Junior Superintendent: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline with 4 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience. Knowledge of computer applications (MS Office) is a must.
- Junior Accountant: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce with 2 years of relevant experience or a Master’s degree in Commerce with a minimum of 55% marks and working knowledge of accounting software.
- Junior Mechanic / Junior Technician: Candidates must have a B.Tech./B.E. degree or a Diploma or ITI qualification.
- Junior Assistant: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in any discipline with 1 year of relevant experience.
- Junior Attendant (Multi Skilled): Candidates must have passed the 10th Class/Matric with one year of relevant training/experience.
- Public Relation Officer: Candidates must have a Master’s degree in Journalism & Mass Communication/Public Relations or its equivalent with a minimum of 55% marks and 5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree in English & Postgraduate Diploma in Journalism/Mass Communication/Public Relations with a minimum of 55% marks and 5 years of relevant experience.
Selection Process and How to Apply?
The selection process for the IIT Patna Recruitment 2023 consists of a Written Test followed by an Interview.
