Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the OPTCL Management Trainee (MT) Recruitment 2023, you need to meet the following eligibility criteria:
- Educational Qualification: You must have a Bachelor’s Degree (B.E.) in Electrical or Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized University or Institution. The degree should have a minimum aggregate of 60% marks. Alternatively, you can also qualify if you have passed Section-A&B of IE (India) in the relevant discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks.
- GATE 2023 Score: You should hold valid GATE 2023 Marks in the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper.
- Age Limit: Your age should be between 21 and 32 years as of 1st April 2023. There is an upper age limit relaxation of 5 years for candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen categories and 10 years for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates.
Selection Process
The selection process consists of the following stages:
- GATE 2023 Score: The marks obtained (out of 100) in the Electrical Engineering discipline paper of GATE 2023 will be considered in the selection process.
- Personal Interview: Shortlisted candidates based on their GATE 2023 scores will be called for a personal interview. The final selection will be based on the combined performance in the GATE exam and the interview.
Salary and Benefits
If selected as a Management Trainee, you can enjoy the following salary and benefits:
- Training Period: During the training period, OPTCL will provide a monthly stipend of ₹50,000/-.
- After Training: Upon successful completion of the training, you will be placed in the Pay Matrix with a salary range of ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500/- (Level EE-2).
