Vacancy Details
The OPTCL Management Trainee (Electrical) recruitment aims to fill 50 vacancies, out of which 17 are reserved for women candidates.
Age Limit and Relaxation
Candidates applying for OPTCL MT Recruitment 2023 must be between 21 and 32 years of age as of 1st April 2023. The upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years for SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Servicemen and 10 years for PwBD (Persons with Benchmark Disabilities) candidates.
Salary and Stipend
During the training period, selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend of ₹50,000/-. After successful completion of training, the pay scale will be ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500/- (Level EE-2).
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Bachelor’s Degree (B.E.) in Electrical/Electrical & Electronics Engineering from a recognized University/Institution with a minimum of 60% aggregate marks.
- Alternatively, candidates who have passed Section-A&B of IE (India) in the relevant discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks are also eligible.
- It is mandatory for candidates to have valid GATE 2023 marks in the Electrical Engineering paper.
Selection Process
- Weightage of marks obtained in the Electrical Engineering discipline paper of GATE 2023 (out of 100).
- Personal Interview.

- SC, ST, and PwBD category candidates: ₹590/-
