Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai has released a recruitment notification for Teaching positions in 2023.   1. Professor: 09 vacancies

Age Limit and Pay Scale

The maximum age limit for all the Teaching positions is 65 years. The selected candidates will receive attractive pay scales as per the following levels:

  • Professor: Level 14
  • Associate Professor: Level 13A
  • Assistant Professor: Level 10

Educational Qualifications

To be eligible for the TISS Faculty Recruitment, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
  • An eminent scholar holding a Ph.D. degree with at least 55% marks in Postgraduate Degree (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) in the concerned/allied/relevant discipline.

Experience Requirements

Candidates must fulfill the following experience requirements for each position:

  • Professor: Minimum 10 years of teaching/research experience.
  • Associate Professor: Minimum 08 years of teaching/research experience.
  • Assistant Professor: The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.

Selection Process

The selection process for TISS Recruitment consists of the following stages:

  1. Shortlisting: Eligible candidates will be shortlisted based on their qualifications and experience.
  2. Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview to assess their suitability for the Teaching positions.

Candidates are required to pay an application fee based on their category:

  • SC/ST/PwBD: ₹2000/-
  • General/OBC: ₹1000/-
  • Female candidates: Nil
