Flying Branch

Ground Duty (Technical) Branch

Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branch

NCC Special Entry Vacancies
The NCC Special Entry allows for a certain number of seats in various branches:
Flying Branch
- No of Vacancies: 10% seats out of CDSE vacancies for PC and 10% seats out of AFCAT vacancies for SSC.
IAF AFCAT Age Limit
The age criteria for different branches are as follows:
Flying Branch and NCC Special Entry
- Age Limit: 20 to 24 years as of 1st July 2024
- Date of Birth Range: 02 July 2000 to 01 July 2004 (both dates inclusive)
Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branch
- Age Limit: 20 to 26 years as of 1st July 2024
- Date of Birth Range: 02 July 1998 to 01 July 2004 (both dates inclusive)
IAF AFCAT Salary
The selected candidates will receive a salary in the pay scale of ₹ 56100 – 177500/- Level 10 (Flying Officer) along with MSP (Military Service Pay) of ₹ 15500/-.
IAF AFCAT Entry Educational Qualifications
To be eligible for the AFCAT entry, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:
AFCAT Entry (Flying Branch)
- Graduation with a minimum three-year degree course in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks
- OR
- B.E. / B.Tech Degree with a minimum of 60% marks
- OR
- Candidates who have cleared Section A & B examination of Associate Membership of Institution of Engineers (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
AFCAT Entry (Ground Duty Technical Branch)
- 10+2 with Physics and Maths
- 04 years Degree or Post Graduate in Engineering / Technology.
AFCAT Entry (Ground Duty Non-Technical Branches)
- Administration and Logistics: Degree in any discipline
- Accounts: B.Com degree
- Education: MBA / MCA or MA / M.Sc. Degree
NCC Special Entry (Flying Branch)
- 10+2 with Physics and Maths
- Graduates with a minimum three-year degree course in any discipline with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent
- OR
- B.E. / B.Tech Degree with a minimum of 60% marks or equivalent.
- Meteorology: Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream.
Meteorology
- Passed 10+2 and Post Graduate Degree in any Science stream/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Geography/ Computer Applications/ Environmental Science/ Applied Physics/ Oceanography/ Meteorology/ Agricultural Meteorology/ Ecology & Environment/ Geo-physics/ Environmental Biology with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate of all papers put together.
IAF AFCAT Examination Fee
Candidates applying for the AFCAT entry are required to pay a non-refundable fee of ₹ 250/- through online payment mode. However, this fee is not applicable for NCC Special entry and Meteorology.
