The Indian Army is pleased to announce the commencement of applications for the Military Nursing Service (MNS) 2023. This opportunity is exclusively available to aspiring female candidates who have successfully qualified for NEET (UG) – 2023, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). The esteemed Armed Forces Medical Services (AFMS) welcome applications for the four-year B.Sc. (Nursing) Course, starting in the year 2023 at various prestigious Colleges of Nursing. To secure admission, candidates will undergo a rigorous selection process based on merit and preference. The final merit list will be determined using the NEET (UG) 2023 Score, Computer Based Test of General Intelligence, General English (ToGIGE), Psychological Assessment and Interview, along with the choice of institution, subject to medical fitness and availability of vacancies at each college.

Name of the Exam and Total Seats

  • Military Nursing Service (MNS): 220 Seats

Age Limit:

Candidates must be born between 1st October 1998 to 30th September 2006 (Both days inclusive).

Educational Qualification:

To be eligible, candidates must have passed the Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent (12 years of schooling) in their first attempt. The examination must include Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany & Zoology), and English as compulsory subjects, with a minimum aggregate score of 50%. The candidate should have pursued the aforementioned subjects as a regular student from a Statutory / Recognized Board / University / Examination Body.

Provisional applications are also accepted from candidates who are appearing for the final year of their qualifying examination during the current academic session.

NEET (UG) 2023 score:

Candidates interested in pursuing the B.Sc. Nursing course at AFMS institutions are required to qualify for the NEET (UG) 2023 examination, conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).

Physical Standards:

Medical fitness will be assessed based on the standards applicable for Commission in the Armed Forces.

Selection Process:

The selection of candidates will be carried out through a comprehensive process. Shortlisted candidates, based on their NEET (UG) score, will be invited to participate in an Objective Computer Based Test (CBT) that evaluates General Intelligence and General English (ToGIGE). This test carries a weightage of 80 marks. Subsequently, candidates will undergo a Psychological Assessment Test (PAT), Interview, and Medical Examination at a designated venue. The final selection will be based on the combined merit of NEET (UG) 2023 score, CBT performance, and Interview, subject to medical fitness.

Application Fee:

General and OBC category candidates are required to pay an application fee of ₹ 200/-

SC/ST category candidates are exempted from paying any application fee.

The application fee must be paid online.
