Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) is seeking qualified candidates for the engagement of Consultants, specifically one Economist and one Statistician, to assist in various studies, analyses, and research activities conducted by PPAC in the dynamic fields of Oil, Gas, and Energy. This recruitment aims to reinforce the intellectual capacity of PPAC and contribute to the growth and development of the energy sector. Name of the Post:

  • Economist: 01
  • Statistician: 01

Age Limit:

Candidates must be below 60 years of age as of the closing date.

Remuneration:

Successful candidates will be offered a monthly remuneration of ₹1.5 Lakhs.

Educational Qualifications:

Economist:

  1. A Post Graduate degree in Economics, Applied Economics, Energy Planning, or equivalent from a recognized Indian university or an internationally recognized university/institution.
  2. Specialization in Economics research, Econometrics, and a strong understanding of energy market conditions.
  3. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in analyzing economic problems, international trade, investment, and economic regulations using quantitative economic techniques.

Statistician:

  1. A Post Graduate degree in Statistics, Mathematical Statistics, Mathematical Economics, Econometrics, or equivalent from a recognized Indian university or an internationally recognized university/institution.
  2. Minimum 6 years of relevant experience in using statistical computing software packages, conducting research, and applying mathematical statistical techniques and theories.
  3. Proficiency in the collection, processing, analysis, evaluation, and dissemination of pricing, production, supply, and distribution data, preferably with a minimum of 5 years of experience in handling and maintaining large databases in the oil and gas sector.

Selection Process:

The selection process for the Economist and Statistician positions will involve a Personal Interview, wherein candidates will have the opportunity to showcase their expertise and suitability for the role.
