Age Limit
To be eligible for the recruitment, candidates must meet the following age criteria:
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 38 years (as on 1st January 2023)
- Candidates should have been born between 2nd January 1985 and 1st January 2002.
- Age Relaxation: 5 years for SC, ST, SEBC, Women, and Ex-servicemen; 10 years for PwD candidates.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive an attractive pay scale of ₹44,900 – 1,42,400/- as per the Pay Matrix of Level 10 and Cell 1.
Eligibility Criteria
To be considered for the position of Post Graduate Teacher, candidates must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Master’s Degree (Post Graduate) in the relevant subject from a recognized University or an integrated six-year Post Graduate Master’s course from a Regional College of Education recognized by NCERT with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or an equivalent grade.
- B.Ed. or an equivalent Degree recognized by the National Council for Teacher Education, New Delhi, is required. However, it is not mandatory for the post of PGT in Anthropology, Commerce, Education, Geography, Home Science, Logic & Philosophy, Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, IRPM, Telugu, and Urdu subjects.
- For the post of PGT in Botany, Chemistry, Economics, English, Geology, Hindi, History, Mathematics, Odia, Physics, Political Science, Sanskrit, and Zoology subjects, a B.Ed. qualification is mandatory.
Selection Process
The selection process for SSB Odisha PGT Recruitment 2023 consists of the following stages:
- Written Test: 150 Marks
- Career Assessment: 50 Marks
- Total: 200 Marks
