The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) has released the official notification for the recruitment of Officer Grade A (Assistant Manager) in the Legal Stream. SEBI Grade A Salary:
The pay scale for officers in Grade A is as follows: ₹ 44500-2500(4) – 54500-2850(7) – 74450 – EB-2850(4) – 85850 – 3300(1) – 89150 (17 years).
SEBI Grade A Eligibility Criteria:
- Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (B.L.) from a recognized University or Institute.
- Desirable Experience: A minimum of 02 years of post-qualification experience as an Advocate (including as an associate in an Advocate’s or Solicitor’s Office or Law firm) after being enrolled under the Advocates Act, 1961 (25 of 1961) will be considered a desirable qualification.
SEBI Grade A Selection Process:
The selection process for SEBI Grade A Officers will consist of the following stages:
- Phase I – Online Examination
- Phase II – Online Examination
- Interview
SEBI Grade A Exam Pattern:
Phase I Online Examination:
- Paper 1: General Awareness (including some questions related to the Financial Sector), English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, and Test of Reasoning
- Maximum Marks: 100
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Paper 2: Specialized subject related to the Legal Stream
- Maximum Marks: 100
- Duration: 40 minutes
Phase II Online Examination:
- Paper 1: English (Descriptive Test) to test the drafting skills
- Maximum Marks: 100
- Duration: 60 minutes
- Paper 2: 70 Multiple choice questions of one mark each on Specialized subject related to the Legal Stream, 3 Descriptive Questions of 10 marks each on Specialized subject related to the Legal Stream
- Maximum Marks: 100
- Duration: 60 minutes (MCQs) / 60 minutes (Descriptive)
SEBI Grade A Application Fee:
- Unreserved / OBC / EWSs: ₹ 1000/- + 18% GST
- SC / ST / PwBD: ₹ 100/- + 18% GST
