Candidates born between 01/09/1995 and 01/09/2003 (inclusive) are eligible to apply for this position.

  • Age Relaxation: The RBI provides age relaxation as follows:
    • SC / ST: 5 years
    • OBC: 3 years
    • PWD: Additional 10 years
    • Widows/Divorced Women/Women Judicially Separated: Additional 10 years

Pay Scale / Salary of RBI Assistant 2023:

Successful candidates will enjoy a competitive salary package, including a starting basic pay of ₹20,700/- per month. The salary scale ranges from ₹20,700 to ₹55,700 over a span of 20 years. In addition to the basic pay, selected candidates will receive various allowances, such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance, Transport Allowance, and more. As of now, the initial monthly gross emoluments for Assistants will be approximately ₹45,050/-.

Educational Qualification for RBI Assistant 2023:

To be eligible for RBI Assistant 2023, candidates must meet the following educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Graduate) in any discipline with a minimum of 50% Marks (Pass class for SC / ST / PWD) from a Government recognized institute / university.
  • Computer Knowledge: Proficiency in word processing on PC.
  • Language Proficiency: Candidates applying for a position in a specific recruiting office should be proficient in the local language of the state or any of the states falling under the recruiting office.

Selection Process for RBI Assistant 2023:

The selection process for RBI Assistant 2023 consists of three stages:

  1. Preliminary Examination
  2. Main Examination
  3. Language Proficiency Test

Preliminary Examination (Multiple Choice):

  • English Language: 30 questions, 20 minutes
  • Numerical Ability: 35 questions, 20 minutes
  • Reasoning Ability: 35 questions, 20 minutes
  • Total: 100 questions, 60 minutes

Main Examination (Multiple Choice):

  • Test of Reasoning: 40 questions, 30 minutes
  • Test of English Language: 40 questions, 30 minutes
  • Test of Numerical Ability: 40 questions, 30 minutes
  • Test of General Awareness: 40 questions, 25 minutes
  • Test of Computer Knowledge: 40 questions, 20 minutes
  • Total: 200 questions, 135 minutes

Exam Fee for RBI Assistant 2023:

Candidates are required to pay an exam fee based on their category:

  • SC / ST / PWD / Ex-servicemen candidates: ₹50/- (intimation charges only)
  • OBC / General / EWS candidates: ₹450/- (intimation charges + exam fee)
