Indian Army TGC 139 Recruitment 2023
The Indian Army has released a notification for the 139th Technical Graduate Course (TGC-139) commencing in July 2024 at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun, for Permanent Commission in the Indian Army. Unmarried male engineering graduates are invited to apply for this course. The online registration for Indian Army TGC 139 will be open from 27th September 2023 to 26th October 2023.

Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 20 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years
- Candidates must be born between 02 July 1997 and 01 July 2004 (both dates inclusive).
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates should have passed an Engineering Degree or be in the final year of an Engineering Degree course.
- Final year candidates should complete all their degree-related examinations before 01 January 2024.
- Candidates should be able to produce the Engineering Degree within 12 weeks from the date of commencement of training at IMA. If they fail to produce the requisite Degree Certificate within the specified time, they will be inducted on Additional Bond Basis for cost recovery of training at IMA, stipend, pay, and allowances paid.
Physical Standards
- Height & Weight: Minimum acceptable height and weight for men are 157.5 cm with correlated weight. Relaxations apply for certain regions.
- Candidates must be in good physical and mental health and free from any disability.

- Prospective candidates are advised to maintain physical fitness, including running 2.4 km in 15 minutes, push-ups (13 nos), sit-ups (25 nos), chin-ups (6 nos), and rope climbing (3-4 meters), in preparation for the rigorous physical training at the Indian Military Academy.
Selection Process
- Shortlisting of Applications: The Integrated HQ of MoD (Army) will shortlist applications based on cut-off percentages for each Engineering discipline/stream.
- Interview: Shortlisted candidates will be interviewed at Selection Centres in Allahabad (UP), Bhopal (MP), and Bangalore (Karnataka) by Psychologist, Group Testing Officer, and Interviewing Officer. Call Up letters for SSB interviews will be issued through the candidate’s registered email ID and SMS.
- Two-Stage Selection: Candidates who clear Stage I will proceed to Stage II. Those who fail in Stage I will be returned on the same day.
- Duration of SSB interviews is five days, excluding the day of arrival.
