Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS) Mumbai has released a recruitment notification for various Teaching positions to be filled up in Mumbai, Tulijapur, Hyderabad and Guwahati campuses. TISS has invited applications for the following Teaching positions:
- Professor – 09 vacancies
- Associate Professor – 05 vacancies
- Assistant Professor – 05 vacancies
Age Limit and Pay Scale
The maximum age limit for TISS Recruitment is 65 years. The pay scale for the different posts is as follows:
- Professor: Level 14
- Associate Professor: Level 13A
- Assistant Professor: Level 10
Educational Qualifications
Candidates applying for TISS Recruitment must have the following educational qualifications:
- A Master’s degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) from an Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreign university.
- An eminent scholar having a Ph.D. degree with at least 55% marks in Postgraduate Degree (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system in the concerned/ allied/ relevant discipline.
The experience required for different posts in TISS Recruitment is as follows:
- For Professor – Minimum 10 years teaching / research experience.
- For Associate Professor – Minimum 08 years teaching / research experience.
- For Assistant Professor – The candidate must have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or the CSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.
Selection Process and Application Fee
The selection process for TISS Recruitment will consist of shortlisting and interview. The application fee for different categories is as follows:
- SC / ST / PwBD – ₹ 2000/-
- General / OBC – ₹ 1000/-
- Female – Nil
