South East Central Railway (SECR) has released the notification for the recruitment of Trade Apprentices under the Apprentices Act 1961. This recruitment drive aims to fill vacancies in the SECR Railway Raipur Division and Wagon Repair Shop / Raipur for the year 2023-24. - Electrician: 154 vacancies
- Stenographer (English): 10 vacancies

- Health and Sanitary Inspector: 17 vacancies
- Machinist: 30 vacancies
- Mechanic Diesel: 30 vacancies
- Mechanic Refrigerator & Air Conditioner: 12 vacancies
- Mechanic Auto Electrical and Electronics: 30 vacancies
SECR Railway Wagon Repair Shop Raipur Vacancies: The Wagon Repair Shop in Raipur also has several trade apprenticeship positions available. The vacancies are as follows:
- Fitter: 140 vacancies
- Welder: 140 vacancies
- Machinist: 20 vacancies
- Turner: 15 vacancies
- Electrician: 15 vacancies
- Computer Operator and Programming Assistant: 5 vacancies
- Stenographer (Hindi): 2 vacancies
Age Limit: To be eligible for the SECR Apprentice program, candidates must meet the following age criteria:
- Minimum age: 15 years
- Maximum age: 24 years (as of 1st July 2023)
Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms:
- SC / ST: 5 years
- OBC: 3 years
- Ex-Servicemen and PWBD: 10 years
Stipend: The stipend for the SECR Apprentice program will be provided as per the Apprenticeship Act.
Educational Qualifications: Candidates must fulfill the following educational qualifications to be eligible for the SECR Apprentice program:
- Must have passed the 10th class / Matriculation examination under the 10+2 system of education or its equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks.
- Must have completed an ITI course in the relevant trade from a recognized Institution.
Selection Process: The selection of candidates for the SECR Apprentice program will be based on the qualification marks (10th Pass + ITI).
